XP didnt see linux ubuntu shared folders!

XP didn't see linux ubuntu 7 shared folders
persons try to see from the net with XP
thats hapened
I edit smb.conf file
change user to shate but didn't solve this problem
thats happened?

No I didn't see LINUX computer from XP from the net
but ping tcp/ip address working
what happened?
