i386 compatibility libnss-* in ubuntu focal

Asked by msaxl

For a 32bit (i386) application to see the same nss results as native applications it is required that the configured nss library are available in both archs.

How is the list of available "dual arch" libnss libraries choosen? libnss-mdns and libnss-systemd for example are available for both archs.

Recently libnss-winbind:i386 was removed from focal. This may cause problems if the 32 bit application requires for example the username of the user if the logged in user is a domain user.

I suggest you report a bug. Focal is not ready and not even remotely stable.
