Ubuntu 12.04LTS: smbstatus -p no output

Asked by Michael Junker

Hello,

I have a small samba server running (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS) and I now noticed that the command 'smbstatus -p' does not produce any useful output anymore. Example:

michel@vSERVER-2010:~$ smbstatus

Samba version 3.6.3
PID Username Group Machine

Service pid machine Connected at

@Backup 8028 michel-2010 Wed Sep 30 15:43:21 2015
@Warezhouse 8028 michel-2010 Wed Sep 30 15:43:28 2015
IPC$ 8028 michel-2010 Wed Sep 30 15:43:21 2015

In Ubuntu 10.04LTS it was showing the user (in this case me) in the 'processes' section.

Is this the intended behaviour of smbstatus in Ubuntu 12.04LTS?
Does anybody else with Ubuntu 12.04LTS get users listed in the 'processes' section?

Thanks in advance for any feedback,
Michael.
