Can't access my windows partition but can access through ubuntu

Hi All,

I am using dual boot system for windows 7 and Ubuntu. The Ubuntu version is 10.04. Earlier I was able to access all of my drive through windows and UBUNTU as well, but from few days back i am unable to use two of my windows partition( NTFS) i saying "you need to format partition before you use the drive" but the same drive is accessible through Ubuntu. I can see every thing on that drive through UBUNTU but not through windows.

I am not sure if this problem is due to UBUNTU or something else. Please help !!!!!!

Probably this is a Windows problem. Faced my self at time before.

If you have access through Ubuntu, then take all of your important data , to another disk (external or not) and do what Windows suggests.

I will not recommend to Use Ntfsfix or gparted to try to correct the NTFS partition through Ubuntu, cuz it is very possible to lose your data.
