samba package

why samba isn't included in the cdrom?

I think samba should be a good package to include in the default ubuntu installation, since so many people transfer files between computer without having an internet connection.

Without samba this is impossible to do and IMAO this is a bad behavior since in the other OS this feature is enabled by default.

Including this package would be a good improvement for fixing bug 1

Bug #1 is a joke imho

I suggest you report a bug. You may find it on the DVD ISO so using that instead of the CD may be a way for you to go.
