I don't know my the password for saving on the network

Asked by vinsens

I am asked for a master password by libreoffice writer. I don't know that I have created one. So I don't know it. Is there a default password? Can it be reset? Help!

The password is requested during an attempt to save a document to another location on a network.

You are being asked for a password by the network software on the other machine you are saving to. It is not a LibreOffice password. I am changing your question so it is asked in a more appropriate section of Launchpad Answers.

If you mount the share in nautilus then you can access it easier and save the file. If the system is a Windows system then use the local Windows password to get access.

Can you help with this problem?
