authentication

Asked by John Hagedoorn

I am trying to use a windows network printer. Have Samba installed. It worked for 1 day, but now it wants a username and authentication password. Using the data I use for logging in do not work. As I am the only user of this computer I like to use the printer without having to authenticate every time
Please help

Run:

Type the password as you expect, there is no screen feedback.

I am still trying !!
Did all what was suggested but Samba I can not authenticate use off the printer. I deleted the printer and tried to reinstall but now I could not even do that. Samba does accept my password to change the settings, but not to authenticate the printer !
Still need help !
