How to share between two ubuntu desktop in local network

Asked by sabutrade@sabuindia.com

We have connected more than two desktop in our local area network with ubuntu 10.10 installation, but unable to see the computers in Network or "windows network". We have also installed samba & shared some folders in each computer. Please guide us so, we can easily open shared folders in each-other's computer.

The samba package will allow you to connect to the shares and get as the files. You can use the network item in nautilus to connect. If names don't work then try IPs.
