sharing disks in a home network with 2 windows machines?

Asked by Kai Håkansson

I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 on a HP-laptop with 60GB of HD. The laptop is connected to a fast ethernet home network with 2 windows machines in the same NW. Haven't been able to find out how I could share all the disks in the NW in all directions. Could somebody please tell how its done. Sharing the network-printer was no problem.
Rgds, Kaitsu

You don't share disks, you share folders.

If you run:

sudo apt-get install samba

You can now right click in nautilus and share the folders you wish.

Can you help with this problem?
