How to share files between 2 ubuntu 10.10 machines and one win7 pc

Asked by grandlotus2@gmail.com

I got a netbook recently and got tired of the sluggish OS known as XP. I installed ubuntu netbook remix and immediately fell in love with its streamlined gui. I even put Ubuntu 10.10 on my main pc as well with a dual boot option of windows7. My wife has a win7 pc and im sharing files between the two win7 pc's just fine, but when i try to share files with any of the linux machines neither the pc nor the linux machines see each other. i have even tried sharing file between the two linux machines and still no progress. Ive tried using ssh, samba, nfs and a host of other things but none have worked what so ever!!!!! I like ubuntu but this networking thing is starting to make me think twice about it.

If you run:

sudo apt-get install samba

You can use nautilus to share the folder

Can you help with this problem?
