Share files with MacBookPro/10.6.4

Asked by Vladimir Vooss

I was gifted a Gateway laptop and I installed Maverick Meerkat on it.
So far I love it, but there's a steep learning curve, because
I'd like to "pull" files off of my two Mac computers, or,
from a USB-HD hanging off the Airport Extreme, which the Gateway now "sees".
I'm a musician, and I'm afraid not any kind of coder...
Is there a way to do this?

Thanks very much,
In Advance,

Vladimir

You don't need to be a coder. Why do you think you need to be.....?

If you share the mount point of the USB partition with samba, you can access the share using nautilus

Can you help with this problem?
