How to set up SAMBA in Xubuntu. (I'm a samba novice)

Asked by maarten

I have installed Xubuntu on my PC. I want it to serve as a Home Server to back up my laptops. I have installed Samba, but can't find it from my laptop (W vista). What do I have to do to configure Samba on my Xubuntu PC? I would like a very simple "Hello World" setup.

Thank you very very much Marco.
I found a command line solution as well: http://www.howtoforge.org/ubuntu-10.04-samba-standalone-server-with-tdbsam-backend

I prefer you GUI version and the youtube way of teaching. (How do you create a video like that? !!!)
