How to connect to client on lan

Asked by Jeffrey

I am on a lubuntu desktop and want to connect to one of my clients on lan. What software do I need to install and what configuration do I need to make? There is pyNeighborhood but it only detects the client it does not allow me access to the machine
I am using this PC like a server on the lan. It has the printer connected to it and logs users on the clients. What I want to do is I would like to copy a file to the ubuntu lucid desktop (client)

Install the samba daemon, and access your Lucid with:

smb://IP_of_the_Lucid_PC

through nautilus.

HTH.
