ruby2.7 on 22.04

Asked by Adrian

Hello all,

Does anybody know whether ruby2.7 package will be build and released also for Ubuntu 22.04?
There seems to be some branch available https://code.launchpad.net/~git-ubuntu-import/ubuntu/+source/ruby2.7/+git/ruby2.7/+ref/applied/ubuntu/jammy.

I noticed that Ubuntu22.04 has ruby3.0.
However it takes some time to migrate all code to new version in production workloads.

Thx
BR

If you look at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ruby2.7/+publishinghistory you can see that during development of Ubuntu 22.04 ruby2.7 was still available, but has (on March 11, 2022) been "Superseded by ruby3.0".

The release notes https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/jammy-jellyfish-release-notes/24668 clearly state
Ruby was updated from v2.7.4 to v3.0.

Thx for quick reply.

Unfortunately I don't have access to above link for publishing history.
That probably means that there will not be ruby2.7 package in Ubuntu mirror :(

Sorry, my fault, now the link to the publishing history should be working.
