Will be rtl8821ce available for Ubuntu 23.04?

Will be rtl8821ce available for Ubuntu 23.04?

I just upgraded to Ubuntu 23.04 and the default driver rtw88_8821ce does not work properly. I had to install this driver instead https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce

It would be nice to have rtl8821ce ready to use for Ubuntu 23.04+

Thanks.

The package rtl8821ce is obsolete, see also bug #1993324

Adding separate packages with device drivers like that one is only the second choice.
The best solution is adding drivers for frequently-used devices directly into the kernel source.
For that Ubuntu is dependent on kernel.org and as far as I can see, there is work being done to provide such driver in the kernel.

(I do not own a device that needs that driver, so I cannot judge whether this is already contained in the kernel packages and works well.)
