rpcbind directory is missing - 404 error

Asked by MartinMSPedersen

Something is broken so it is not possible to install rpcbind.

http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/r/rpcbind/ gives an 404 and it is the
same for all mirrors I have checked.

http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/main/r/rpcbind/rpcbind_1.2.5-8_amd64.deb
Works and tested it..success.
If you are running Ubuntu, it is strongly suggested to use a package manager like aptitude or synaptic to download and install packages, instead of doing so manually via this website.

You should be able to use any of the listed mirrors by adding a line to your /etc/apt/sources.list like this:
deb http://cz.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal main
https://packages.ubuntu.com/focal/rpcbind
You did not input which version of Ubuntu you have. 20.04 LTS ?
https://packages.ubuntu.com/focal/rpcbind

Terminal:
lsb_release -a; uname -a
Is this a server?

Can you help with this problem?
