Asked by alexandermantua

Hi,

I don't know how to configure Rosegarden so that I can hear some chosen sounds. When I select my soundcart, I can't hear anything.

Hello !

Do you hear something outside from Rosegarden ? (i.e. is it a general sound problem or a matter of settings in Rosegarden ?)

Regards,
Benoît

Hi Benoit,

it is only in rosegarden.
I can listen to audio music normally.

Thanks,
Alex

rosegarden plays midi. Therefore you either must connect a midi device (i.e. via usb), or you must install a midi-to-sound server like jackd.

After installing and configuring jackd correctly you should be able to listen to rosengarten

Hi, I have the same problem with rosegarden. I've installed Jackd but I don't understand how it works?

Can you help with this problem?
