Gutsy 7.10 low latency kernel

In attempting to install rosegarden I am confronted with the embarrassing situation of being unable to locate the low latency kernel. I don't think I want to run the Studio version as this is a curiosity for a hobby at best.

When I attempt to run rosegarden, I see this:

System timer resolution too low.

I also see this:

Failed to connect to jack audio server.

I installed jackd and jack, but I cannot find anything low latency related in the synaptic package manager that has anything to do with a kernel.

uname -a
Linux chouston-laptop 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Sun Oct 14 23:05:12 GMT 2007 i686 GNU/Linux

Hello !

Low Latency kernel has been replaced by RealTime kernel, which should be more efficient ... you should be able to find it in Synaptic as linux-rt (can't check right now because I'm away from my Ubuntu box)

Thanks! I had wondered if that were the case but it wasn't obvious enough
for me to try it first.
