mp3 files do not transfer to rhythmbox or music library

Asked by dandaman

I'm using ubuntu 9.10. My mp3 player (WALKMAN NWZ-S616F) is plugged in to a front usb port and it's icon is on the desktop. However, when I try to copy it's information to my music library (by drag & drop) I get the following message: There was an error getting information about" WALKMAN.volume". Under show more details the message is: The specified location is not supported. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

In rhythmbox, have you tried the menu Music -> Scan Removable Media
or Music -> Import Folder and choose the one your mp3 player uses (should be in /media/)

Can you help with this problem?
