Upload music to Ipod using Rhythmbox 0.12

Asked by New2Ubuntu

i'm trying to upload some music from my music files to my ipod using RB. RB can see the ipod and I can play tracks using RB that are stored on my ipod however when I go to import a file or folder nothing seems to happen once I have selcted the folder/file and clicked open. can anyone help with this. i've tried dragging from my music to the ipod but this does not work either. i can use copy and paste but the import facility is what really needs to work.

Apple doesn't make it easy to go through anyone but them for their iPods. As such, I haven't had much success with Rhythmbox. However, I have been able to get music on to my Apple paraphernalia with gtkpod.

hi there, thanks for the response. i'll stick with the copy and paste. it's not ideal but works :) RB does say it is supposed to work with iPods however.
