I want to connect with radios in chile, but i do not know how i must to get conection whit them, could you give me some advices

I do not understand how i can get some connection with the URL of the radios in chile or any other country.

For example the type of connection http://ubuntu.hbr1.com:19800/ambient.ogg ( instruction by default from one of the demos of the launchpad Ubunto 7.04) and it is ok.
but i want to setup http://www.concierto.cl/ launchpad give a message that it does not recognize.

i do not know which is the kind of URL of any other radio which i have to set up when i want to to establish connection of the some radios in Chile or any countries.

Some details of advices could be well come

Thanks for your question.

You need some kind of live stream. Means: The radio does air it's program "via internet". It seems concierto.cl does not do that, even if I'm not really sure since I do not understand a single word on that webpage. :-)

You'll find quite a few radio stations from chile at: http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/nation?ccode=cl&sid=&go.x=4&go.y=4

You may also use the "radio-locator.com" to find stations from around the world. You might also use google to find other radio stations who stream their program.

Hola, I mean Hi,

Being Chilean tambien, I was able to go in and understand the site a bit better. The link in various places on the page you gave is to a windows media player AVI stream, so it won't work in rhythmbox as far as I know, but if you have mplayer, you can run it on your computer by typing

mplayer http://streaming.iberoamerican.cl/concierto

You can load the podcasts at the bottom of the page into rhythmbox by cutting and pasting the XML link into the "New Podcast Feed" option that you get by right-clicking on the podcast area.

A radio stream from chile that you can load is the U de Chile one: http://stream.radio.uchile.cl:8000/listen.pls
