rhythmbox package

I cannot change the names of the track, artist or genre for any APE or WMA files in Rhythmbox, is there anything I can do?

I try to change the track title, artist etc... for wma and ape files (using right click - properties) and it won't let me change anything.

Normally, rhythmbox should try to start the package manager in order to add support for APE, WMA files.

You can try to play individual sample files with the Movie Player (Totem) and check if it attempts to download the support packages from the Internet. There is support for those files in GStreamer (the multimedia framework).
