mp3 player does not work

when I want to play an mp3 the player does nothing and further, next question: the send and mail button on my mail program is gray, so i cannot send and receive mail, please who can help me??

It is not a good idea to post 2 questions at the same time.

Re mp3: What player are you using? Have you installed the necessary codecs? If not look at this HowTo:

Re email: I assume that you mean Evolution. Open the Evolution screen, click on "File" (top toolbar) and then click on "Work Online" (3rd entry from the bottom).

what still not works is to play mp3 with rhyhtmbox music player. I read your link, but does not work. Is my soundcard driver ok?? In windows I know how to install, but with umbutu is difficult. I do not trust that part, but how to solve??

evolutionproblem? change offline/online preferences in evolution. Ten the button is not grayed out anymore....
