rythumbox will not play audio files namely mp3

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

This could be the same issue as others are having, but the other bugs mentioned have one or two alterior cirumstances that do not apply to me. I open Rhtymbox and select the file and it doesn't play. Plays fine in Real Player
