Rhythmbox Music Player Visualizations Black and White

Rhythymbox crashed and upon reboot all visualizations are in Black and White, I downloaded a package with more visualizations, all those in all modes and all quality settings remain black and white. Earlier today they appeared in color, but after playing video podcasts through Rhythmbox all visualizations and video turned to black and white.

Also- probably related but I'm not sure how the aforementioned video podcasts after downloading show a status of failed, however they are still playable (albeit in black and white now).

Any insights are appreciated into how I can see my video and visualizations in color.
