Have you tried adding more radio stations from SHOUTCAST. http://www.shoutcast.com

You may want to also consider using Amarok for playing music. In order to install it you must enable the universe repository in Software Sources. It has many more internet stations pre-installed incluing shoutcast and is considerd a better player by many.

As for a restore program, I believe that there is a Launchpad team working on a ¨System Restore¨ package similar to windows, but I do not think it is completed yet. I would recommend doing a disk image with a program called partimage which is included on the System Rescue CD.

Hope this helps

Hello

# On the Applications menu (top left of the screen), choose Add/Remove… (at the bottom of the menu)
# Click on the Sound and Video section on the left.
# Click “All available applications.”
# You may be prompted to install some helper applications. Allow it, you’ll need to enter your system password.
# After a few minutes, you can check both StreamTuner and Xmms Music Player after giving a search for them.
# Hit the OK button in the lower right corner.
# You’ll be asked “Apply the following changes?” Hit the “Apply” button.
# Type your system password.
# On the Applications menu, choose Accessories then Terminal.
# Type streamtuner (all lowercase, no space) and press enter.
# You can now search for Live365 streams, or Shoutcast streams.
# Double clicking opens the stream in XMMS

For system restore,

There's something called Time Vault, which can restore parts of your system in a limited way.

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/TimeVault

https://edge.launchpad.net/timevault/+download

http://lifehacker.com/software/featured-linux-download/timevault-time-machine-for-linux-275399.php

Not as good a solution as System Restore though.

Regards

and

Hope it helps
