help managing iphone 5 on xfce4

Asked by Zachary Lindner

Im using a chromebook samsung 3rd gen and im running xfce4 side by side to chromeos and I've been trying to get wine to work, or itunes or some kind of program but I don't know which one or really how to use linux too well. I'm trying to learn but as I'm not good at understanding posts, I'm deciding to try asking instead.

Itunes doesn't work in wine. The only real way to run itunes is to install windows in a virtualbox.

If you want to transfer data to and from the device I'd personally use an SFTP server on the ubuntu system and use an SFTP client on the phone, then use a wifi connection.

Android devices will show as a USB harddrive but iphones and whatnot are awkward.

Can you help with this problem?
