static

I get really much static playing mp3s.
can anybody help me to get rid of it?thanks

there can be multiple sources of static on computer systems:
your speakers
the music file your playing
the codec your using
and even the speed of your processor

do you get static outside of rhythmbox?
try playing your music in another music player
and try playing it with a different codec (if you have an uncommon one)

also, it helps alot if you add more information to your question before posting, and show the things you've already tried (troubleshooting)
this speeds up the process, and it shows initiative (both ways, shows that you want this fixed and your not ignorant, and encourages us to help you)
