How Do You Transfer Music From Computer To MP3 Player

Once you plugin the device, an icon should appear on the desktop. By clicking that icon you open the device and can copy mp3s there.

If you have an ipod you should check the gtkpod program.

If you're using GNOME desktop manager, Rhythmbox has a plugin for a ipods and mp3 players, maybe you could try it out, enable it from the menu Edit > Plugins

ONCE THE MP3 DEVICE SHOWS UP AND RYTHMBOX OPENS HOW DO YOU COPY MUSIC.

Not an expert, but the following worked for me:

1. Make sure you enable the portalble players (MTP) plugin (edit -> plugins)
2. Plug in your mp3 player - you should get an icon for it under "Devices" in the Rythmbox window.
3. Select your music collection and select the tracks you want to copy.
4. Click and drag the selected tracks to the icon for your player.

You don't copy music, its a waste of time. It has too many bugs to even count on 4 hands and both feet. This device is shit. The creator of this piece needs to take the money and go out buy a gun, and suck on the tip of the pistol, then pull the trigger. I did what Smither said, but nothing seemed to work. I messed with the programs and files for about 2 hours. its bullshit. I sold the player and went out and bought a new one. I'd rather have a $10 MP3, that looks like shit than rather spend $40 on something that doesn't work at all. People have too much time on their hands or smoke a lot of crack to make this kind of shit. I have 1 question for the people that wanted to make a quick buck in making this piece of shit. Did you get what you wanted asshole?
