Questions matching "Why does Rhythmbox dumps half my music frim another partiton into "missing files"

When I import the music folder from my Win7 partition about half of my files end up listed in "missing files". I do get several message during the import process about needing to install missing plug-ins, which I ignore.

Is the partition mounted before you run the app.

Probably not, but this wasn't an up just an update. This was a new install.

OK! I deleted the rhythmbox data base '~/.local/share/rhythmbox/rhythmdb.xml', made sure the partition was mounted, and re-imported the folder. Everything is where it is supposed to be.
