Do other players work ok?
Does it happen as a different (or new) user?

The new user is to TEST only. If it happens as the new user (which will have default settings) then it is the app, if it is not then it's your settings. It's called isolating the issue. It's not forever...

I found out if I take out the plugs-in fill it stops, but I've had the plugging before the reset and never had it jump before

is there another way to put the plug-ins on the rhythmbox. what I did was went to .gnome2 made a file rhythmbox then in there I made a file plugins then put the plugins in the file. If I remember right the last time there was a file there and I just put the plugins in the file. did I do it the wrong way?
