Can't get CD information on MusicBrainz

Asked by Steve picard

Hi, I'm new to Linux and I use ubuntu 10.04. When I load a cd in rythm box it doesn't seem to be able to go get the disk information on MusicBrainz though they appear on the site. I'm getting a wee bit annoyed at having to enter all the information by hand so if you could please give me a solution I'd be very gratefull. Oh and btw how can I rip a cd in 320kbps mp3 format. Thanks in advance.

Steve,

What version if Ubuntu are you using? The latest version is 11.04 and Banshee is now the default Music Player. Try that out and it should do just well in grabbing information. As for 320kbps that option I am not sure but could be embedded into the app.

Apparently from reading https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=650848 it should let you know why it doesn't work anymore.

I created a link to bug# 787475.
If that link is incorrect, please feel free to delete the link, but it sure sounds like the same issue to me.

Can you help with this problem?
