drag and drop to android phone

I have not had any luck getting my LG Optimus S (Android 2.2) to show up in rythymbox. I would like to able to drag and drop my mp3's, ogg files and play lists right from my music folder in Lucid to a music folder on my SD card in the Android phone. I tried adding a text file called ".is_media_player" without quotes of course, to the SD card but that did not help. Am I saving it to the wrong location or something?

With the device attached, if you run:

mount

You will see where it is mounted and can drag/drop files to the mountpoint
