how to remove duplicate songs on music box

When I load new or recently added songs from my windows partition to rhythmbox all songs from the windows partition move into rhythmbox creating duplicate tracks. How do I remove duplicate tracks? How do I prevent duplicate tracks from moving over from windows every time I sync them?
