i am unable to play totem player.please help. how can i install codecs for it?

sudo wget --output-document=/etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/$(lsb_release -cs).list && sudo apt-get --quiet update && sudo apt-get --yes --quiet --allow-unauthenticated install medibuntu-keyring && sudo apt-get --quiet update; sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras gnome-mplayer vlc w32codecs

If you use 64bit Ubuntu, use w64codecs instead of w32codecs. This should add a tonne of codecs for you :)
