Duplicate Album listing on iPod after using Rhythmbox

I recently downloaded some CD's to my iPod touch using rhythmbox. When I did my albums listing on my iPod suddenly had the same album listed for each individual artist. For example, album ABC is now on my album list 12 times because it has 12 different artists. When I go to the album listing on Rhythmbox each album is listed only once. How do I straighten out my iPod touch? I use the album list most frequently when selecting music to listen to and this is very cumbersome.

I have the same problem, i have found no other solution than deleting all other MetaData except the Song name, artist and album(album artist, year, etc deleted)

I do not assure it will work in your case, but it worth a try in at least an album
