saving songs in rhythmbox from usb

I'm having trouble with rhythmbox saving songs to the library. It will import them, but once I remove my usb, all the songs will disappear. Once I put the usb back in, rhythmbox will open with all the songs. I have imported songs from CDs without a problem.

When you import the songs from the usb drive, it just reads the artist and song information and adds it the the database, but it does not copy the songs to the hard disk. You have to copy the songs to the hard disk and then import them from there.

Can you help with this problem?
