Rhythmbox does not see iPhone 3g on Lucid

Asked by Jim McKean

Many people are having good luck connecting their non-jailbroken iPhones to Rhythmbox in Lucid. I am one of the unlucky ones. Rhyhmbox does not see the iPhone when it is plugged in. I am using the netbook remix version of Ubuntu.

Before I understood that Lucid should do it natively, I tried to use the iFuse technique. I think I have removed all the iFuse stuff, but I am wondering if there might be something there blocking me.

I have also wondered if there is some pre-req that the netbook version of Lucid doe not have.

Any help would be appreciated.

I recommend gtkpod but the guide will tell you more. ipod can be a real pain in the ass and considering their limited functionality, aren't worth the money

Can you help with this problem?
