No sync with my music file

Asked by people613

Hi,

Whe I add some music to my music file, it does not appear on mty list; therefore, I am not able to listen to my whole collection...

Is there a way to set up files so the music can be seen?

Besides, I think there was a button for refreshing the list but I don't see it now...
So let's say, you just pu in some new music, how does rythmbox know about it?

Thank you very much.

Can you explain "Music file" please. Is it an mp3 playing device or a music playinig software? What is the "list" as well. There is a lot of ambiguity here which makes it hard to give accurate advice.

Hi,

"Music file" How can I explain...? Let's say, a place on your computer where you store ALL of your music.
So it is not a MP3 device, nor anything else but a place on my hard drive dedicated to my data.
"What is the "list" as well" Again, How can I explain this...? would "a list of all the artists, album and songs (like in Rythmbox for example)" be satisfying?

Thanks again for trying to help, but if you have more questions than answers, please, write them in French

Best Regards

Oh a FOLDER, folders contain files.

So you are copying music to a folder and Rythmbox is not seeing the new files?

If so you may need to manually refresh the list. There is also this bug logged:

Can you help with this problem?
