double click on tray icon to show/hide rb

Asked by Mihkel

Why has the double click feature removed from 0.12.8 to show/hide RB? The current left click > show rb is not as quick
Please put it back.

if you would like to auto hide the panels just right click a blank space then click properties and select auto hide , and it will auto hide no double it just happens .

This probably has something to do with the move away from the system tray. You should be able to achieve the same effect using alltray. The developers may have to update their code a little. It could also be a decision the coders made. I'm not really sure specifically.

greg, i'm talking about hiding/showing rhythmbox not the panel. some versions ago double click on RB tray icon minimized RB to tray and doubleclicking again made it visible again.

I deleted my old launch panel link and added a new one after doing this also. Using the same system as you greg.

i'm using the same system, made clean install but still when left clicking(double or single) on the RB tray icon I get a context menu containing: Play, Prev, Next, Show RB. Doubleclick on icon does nothing. On ubuntu 9.10 (dunno the version of rb back then) the double click worked OK.

I would love to have the old behaviour back:
- left click shows/hides Rhythmbox
- right click brings the context menu

:)

Same here, I'd really love to have it back. Single (as it was for me in 9.10) left click opens RB, and hoover shows current song information...

Can you help with this problem?
