What about adding a base systemd schedule unit?

Asked by pdecat

Hi,

upstream legitimately considers it is not under its current scope to provide ways to schedule backups on all supported platforms: https://github.com/restic/restic/issues/519

What about adding a base systemd configuration to schedule backups with instructions on how to customize it?

Would a MR on https://salsa.debian.org/go-team/packages/restic implementing such a contribution be accepted?

Well, I'm actually talking about modifying the debian packaging of the restic to include systemd configuration files.

I ended up on launchpad from https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/restic
but now I realize I should have instead gone to https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?repeatmerged=no&src=restic

Sorry for the noise.
