RDP protocoll not installed / not working

Ubuntu 13.04
yesterday Remmina worked fine and today my Remmina1.0.0-4 has started but when try to open an existing RDP connection I ve configured previously, I get the following error:
" protocoIll plugin for RDP is not installed"

I uninstalled Remmina via the software center and re-installed it without success.
Any idea what else can be done here?

Is it possible that the Ubuntu update from yesterday (2MB in size) has something to do with the problem?

Tried Comments #16+ 20 + 21 from here https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/remmina/+bug/993981
but unfortunately it could not be solved.

Any further ideas?
Below i ve issued some commands that may have some info for you.

BTW. Is anyone taking care of bugs in Remmina or is the Remmina team not fixing bugs anymore? I ve read that development has stopped for Remmina.

sudo apt-get install remmina-plugin-rdp
result is: The RDP-Plugin is already the latest version. The RDP-Plugin is set beeing installed manually

dpkg --list |grep remmina
Result: remmina-plugin-rdp 1.0.0-4ubuntu2 amd64 RDP plugin for remmina remote desktop client

dpkg -l | grep -i freerdp

xfreerdp --version
This is FreeRDP version 1.0.1

Mark, I ve not tried all suggestions. As far as I can tell some suggestions would only be a repetition of what I ve already tried. Comment #15 from here https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/remmina/+bug/993981 suggest to use a old package manager and an old Remmina version. I thought I can also ignore that one. I hope that right.
