old version

why into repository the version is 1.2.2 while the current version stable is 2.1?

Because there is no reason to upgrade it.

Just because a new stable version is released doesn't get the package updated. Unless there are significant security and bug fixes, the packages remain in their current state in the repositories (or if one goes end of life).

This is especially true in LTS releases where stability is champion and changes are few.
