redis package

Are there plans to upgrade this package for the redis 5.0 release?

Currently the redis-server package is version 4.0.9 which is a bit out of date. Is there plans to package the 5.0 release? Thank you.

For Ubuntu 19.04, which currently is in development, there is already version 5:5.0.2-1 in the "proposed" repository.
This means that you can expect that Ubuntu 19.04 will deliver a 5.*.* version with its publication next April.

Based on that version it might be possible to create backports to older Ubutnu releases.
