maxmemory default setting

Asked by Cameron Summers

Hi,

I installed redis-server to replace memcached and as awesome as it is I believe the default setting for maxmemory will catch a lot of users out like it did to me. I used the defaults and redis consumed eventually all available RAM and on disk swap, dying with an OOM killer.

I think the default should be say 500Mb or some sane value so this doesn't occur:)
