Sorry for not explaining in detail. What I wanted to do is to create a new Ubuntu(Lucid) install with the lastest version of redis(v2.2.2). I was instructed to create a new package from source? eg get source, add dependencies, change control and change log... etc. I am new at this and I would like a little more direction. I greatly appreciate any references and tips. Thanks

No, there is a PPA which is maintained by a non-canonical member. They have the version already compiled and packaged ready to be installed. If you run the command I gave it will add the PPA and install the version you desire. There is no source

Is there a PPA for natty? bitpusher doesn't have a package for natty...

Can you help with this problem?
