Recording audio from mic and pcm simultaneously?

I am trying to make a screen cast presentation in which I would like to record audio from my mic, as well as the audio that is in a short video which I want to play as part of the screencast. I can get recordmydesktop to record from the mic or pcm, but not the mic and pcm simultaneously. Is what I want possible using recordmydesktop?

right now I am using openSUSE & Ubuntu is way outdated 8.10 (I think) so I dont know if you have same options

Yes, I do. I am playing around with all options to no avail. Actually, I realised I can't get it to record from pcm, just mic :-(.

I got it working. The mic I was using was a usb mic (part of headset). I switched to a non-usb mic, and that seems to have done the trick :-)
