Hi, the Universe depot proposes version 0.4.11-1 of Rapid Photo Downloader which is no longer supported by its developper. By far.

Latest version released as of November 5, 201 is 0.9.5.

Are there any plan to update the package on Universe ?

You can file a bug (if there isn't one already) at bugs.debian.org against this package and request that they upload a newer version. Then it'll get pulled automatically to the Ubuntu development version
