Can we please have the latest Radicale (0.7.1 - August 2012) packaged for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS? Just because it's an LTS really.

Asked by Sam Denison

I'm new at this, but it would be nice if Radicale was tracked over the LTS, current version 12.04.

Extra points for Python 3 by default, if you can do that.

Is this possible?

Thanks!

Backports of newer software versions to older releases are done only if there are significant bug fixes or improvements.

You are invited to create a bug report requesting that for radicale a SRU or backport is made to precise. Please provide sound reasoning by listing the improvements. The development team might pick it up.

Another option is looking for a PPA tha offers that version:
As far as I can see, there is already such a PPA https://launchpad.net/~kokelnet/+archive/radicale
Maybe that does what you are looking for.
