How do I install qt4-qtruby in Ubuntu Feisty Fawn

Asked by ilangocal

I have to set up an environment with qt4-qtruby, ldap-ruby and ruby 1.8 in Kubuntu Feisty Fawn. I was told that Feisty Fawn is the only distro that comes with these packages. Does this mean that I do not have to download separate packages for installation? I found these packages for download on this website. I am a little confused. Being a mostly Windows guy, my questions might be stupid. Right now, I have Kubunty Feisty Fawn running on VMware.

One way to find out what packages are in a version of Ubuntu/Kubuntu is to use this site:-

http://packages.ubuntu.com

So for example, searching for qt4-ruby

http://packages.ubuntu.com/cgi-bin/search_packages.pl?keywords=qt4-ruby&searchon=names&subword=1&version=all&release=all

Does that help?

I think it does. I remember having pulled up the two packages inside my distro. Thanks very much.
